The WDF is the sports governing body and organises darts tournaments (the PDC also organises tournaments).

Soft tip darts as the name suggests are played with plastic tipped darts thrown into plastic electronic dartboards. 

The height for these electronic dartboards is the same as for standard dart boards played with steel tipped darts. So the centre of the bullseye will be 5 feet 8 inches / 173cm from the floor.
